Hi, my name is Jeremy. I’m a friendly, professional English and Swedish pianist.
I’ve been teaching privately since 2010, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help my students develop and push the boundaries of what they believe is possible in their own playing.
My teaching style is calm and supportive, tailored to the individual needs of each student. Whether you’re working on the basics or more advanced pieces, I’m here to help you build both confidence and control at the piano.
In addition to teaching, I perform regularly with a variety of ensembles - from orchestras to jazz and funk bands.
If you’d like to learn more about my performance work, please check out my wedding and party band, and take a look at my interviews with The Cross-Eyed Pianist and The Local. If you’re enquiring about my wind tunnel and skydiving work, please visit my page on private flying lessons.
Curriculum Vitae and references are available on request. Testimonials can be found below.
I teach students of all ages and abilities in a relaxed and friendly environment, covering classical, jazz, and contemporary styles of piano. Whether you’re playing for fun or working towards personal goals, I tailor each lesson to suit the individual.
Music Theory is integrated into my teaching to support and deepen your understanding of playing. Whether you’re just beginning or studying at a high level, theory helps build confidence in reading, interpreting, and creating music.
I offer lessons tailored to your needs - whether you’re preparing for entrance exams, studying music at gymnasiet or university, or simply want to explore how harmony, rhythm, and form shape the music you play.
Theory is taught in a clear and practical way, always connected to real music, to help you understand not just the rules—but how to use them creatively at the piano.
Composition lessons are open to everyone - from students and studio owners to songwriters and beginners looking to explore their creative side. No formal music education is needed if you’re learning for fun or as a hobby.
I offer structured support for those studying composition at gymnasiet or university level, including help with coursework and portfolio preparation.
Lessons can be tailored to your goals, covering anything from melody writing and harmony to arranging, orchestration, and developing your own musical voice. You’re welcome to focus on specific areas or explore a broad range of topics throughout the course.
Please note, current students receive one free lesson for every new student they refer to my studio. I look forward to welcoming your friends and building a musical community where we can enjoy making music together.
Good luck with your lessons and I hope you enjoy all the musical activities to come!

“Jeremy är musikalisk, energisk och positiv. Han är en mycket bra pedagog med en fantastisk känsla och kunskap om pianospel, musikhistoria och musikteori. Han är den perfekta läraren till min tonåring som älskar att spela piano.”
Maria, mor till Kalle, 16 år
“When I began taking piano lessons with Jeremy, I had some piano experience. However, it had been years since I played. It’s now for almost 2 years that I am having bi-weekly sessions with Jeremy and I really enjoy playing piano again. Jeremy is an extremely talented pianist with very effective teaching methods. He helps me to shape my musicality and technique by letting me choose the pieces I like. We then go through them together, analyse the theory behind and discuss specific techniques and annotations in the piece. Jeremy adapts to my level and is always challenging me to become better. I highly recommend Jeremy as a piano teacher.”
Dorothea
“I started lessons with Jeremy as a total beginner in my mid-forties. A year later and thanks to his incredible patience, I am totally hooked. If, like me, you are someone who wants to learn the piano a little later in life, then I cannot recommend Jeremy's friendly, enthusiastic and professional approach enough.”
Adrian

“He manages his lessons in a 'student led' manner and has been very perceptive in gauging the needs and personality of my 10 year old. I can highly recommend him as a sensitive and talented teacher. Ned says “Jeremy is a legend”.”

Amanda, Mother to Ellen aged 13
“Jeremy set the perfect pace for a novice and progressively applied just the right pressure to move me forward. Looking back over the last few months I can see I have learnt sooooo much and become more confident in my ability for the future. Thank you.”
Dan
“Jeremy taught my son piano for a year and a half. My son has become a good piano player with Jeremy's help. Jeremy's calm and encouraging style were a big factor in my son's improvement. Whilst working with Jeremy my son successfully passed two grades, took part in a concert, and became proficient in a range of different musical styles. I heartily recommend Jeremy as a teacher.”
Nigel, Father to Nicky aged 10
“Jeremy is an aenthusiastic and charismatic tutor who has bespoke lessons for each student. He is very good at working with the student to cover the material they want to play. Whether it be formal prep for exams or messing around with the latest pop hit, Jeremy has a fantastic approach and knows how to utilise the lesson to achieve the fullest potential. He was a pleasure as a tutor, and any new students looking for tuition Jeremy is a no-brainer!”
David
“As a teacher he showed a mix of empathy towards my teenage son (who had both exam pressures and a desire to play some challenging contemporary rock!), along with professionalism to maintain a series of lessons that provided direction and improvement on skills, whilst maintaining a balance of different musical genres. I would not hesitate to recommend Jeremy.”
Ginny, Mother to Jack aged 15
Tack Jeremy.”
